Why Yanke Bionics?

Mark Yanke was kind enough to host me for my senior experience during my senior year of high school. During this time it became apparent to me the high quality of work and experience Yanke Bionics had to offer. I chose to take this opportunity afforded to me; as being a prosthetist has been my goal since childhood.

Personal

I was born at Akron City hospital with Proximal Femoral Focal Deficiency and Fibular Hemimelia, This congenital deformity required that I have a prosthesis to walk. My first prosthesis was fit when I was nine months old. My foot was amputated at the age of five so that I could be fit with a better style prosthesis. Due to these circumstances, I've always been driven towards the prosthetics industry as it affords me an empathy towards those in a similar situation.
