At your initial fitting, our clini­cians will take considerable time making sure the orthosis fits properly. Be sure to tell the clinician that is fitting your orthosis if the device feels uncomfort­able or causes pain.

* An orthosis is of no help if it does not fit correctly or is un­comfortable

Application:

1. Wear a short sleeve T-shirt under the brace
2. Apply the brace while lying down
3. Begin by attaching the flexible front portion with velcro
4. Tighten the brace by pulling the velcro tab accross and around your torso.
5. Loosen the tab to sit, tighten the tab what you stand

Cleaning: Remove the corset portion of the brace from the frame. Hand wash the garment, lay it flat, and allow it to dry without applying heat to the garment. The frame can be cleaned with rubbing alcohol as needed.

Follow-up: You should be seen in our office at least once within two weeks from discharge from the hospital. Report any redness or irritation to our main office immediately. Please call if you have any questions!
